That’s why the Mayor started free monthly community rides in January 2017.Memorial Day weekend is here, marking the unofficial start of the summer season. Children are welcome but should be capable of street riding or in an appropriate child seat or trailer. Ride your own bike or a Breeze Bike, remember your own helmet, lock & water bottle. The ride will be roughly 4.5 miles long along this ROUTE.
The ride will leave at 11:30 am from the west side of Douglas Park (near the tennis courts and restrooms), travel down California Ave to the Beach, and ride the beach bike path down to Main Street. On Sunday June 24th, join Mayor Ted Winterer and Santa Monica Spokeon a feeder ride from Douglas Park to 18th Annual Main Street Santa Monica “Summer Soulstice” Block Party.
